George Kanoff, 93, of Elizabethtown, passed away June 24, 2025 at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. Born in Harrisburg to Simeon and Nadelka (Christof) Kanoff on June 9, 1932, he graduated from Patton Boys Trade School, Elizabethtown, class of 1950, and Elizabethtown College in 1955.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Janet (Hershey) Kanoff; a daughter, Lisa Aurand and husband Darwin of Shermans Dale; and a son, Stephen Kanoff and his wife, Bonnie Brubakken, of Coon Rapids MN; a brother, Chris and his wife, Shirley, of Harrisburg; along with several nieces and nephews.

He began his career at Gulf Oil Corporation, Chester PA, and retired from AMP Inc., Harrisburg, after 33 years.

George was a member of and Past Master of the Abraham C. Treichler Masonic Lodge, Elizabethtown, PA, and Scottish Rite. He was conferred as a 33rd degree Mason in 2003, St Louis, MO. He was a long-time member of the First Church of God, Elizabethtown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, John and Blanche Hershey, who he loved as adopted parents; brothers, Mike and Pete, and a sister, Christine Farley.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the Masonic Village Healthcare Center, especially Roosevelt 2 and Hospice Care.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at the Conewago Cemetery, at approx. address 1851 Old Hershey Rd., Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
